Health & Care Foundation Optometrist Job

Immediately required OPTOMETRIST for trust hospital to examination eye-related disorders and conditions.

Education: Bachelor of Optometry & Diploma of Optometry

Responsibilities and Duties

· Conduct routine eye examinations, including visual field tests

· Determine each patient’s visual acuity, field of vision and hand-eye coordination

· Take detailed medical histories for all patients, including current and past prescription medications

· Evaluate eye-related symptoms, such as discharge, redness and inflammation

· Prescribe corrective lenses when required

· Educate patients on proper eye care

· Low vision and squint workup

· Instruments handling including: -

· Refraction (Retinoscope,Autorefractometer)

· Ophthalmoscope

· Lensometer

· Slit lamp examination

· Camp-Cataract screening

Qualifications and Skills

Multi tasking

Basic knowledge of computer

Good communication skills

Good learner
